Then the seafood industry needs you!
Te Ohu Kaimoana and global seafood company Nippon Suisan Kaisha, Limited (Nissui) are looking for young Māori for our Global Fisheries Training Programme. This elite scholarship presents an amazing opportunity for a committed, hard-working individual to spend time working at Nissui and to be immersed in Japanese daily life.
The successful recipient will spend 2015 in Japan at Nissui’s headquarters. You will undertake a rigorous nine-month language and cultural programme prior to leaving New Zealand, as well as intensive language training on arrival.
We are looking for Māori who have studied or presently work in fisheries management, aquaculture, marine biology, processing or business management and are looking to make a career in the seafood industry.
The scholarship includes air travel, accommodation and a training allowance during the year.
Applications close 5.00pm on 7 February 2014
