Kia ora koutou,
There are two important occasions coming up that you may be interested in attending.
Te Papa holds an annual ‘discussion’ on the Treaty of Waitangi. This year the speakers are Professor Paul Spoonley and Dr Ranginui Walker on Thursday, 28 January, and Professor Mason Durie and Colin James on Thursday, 4 February. Both presentations are from 6.30pm until 7.45pm.
This year’s debates are titled Evolution And Not Revolution, and look at 30 to 40 years of Maori activism.
The Te Papa Treaty Debates have become an important annual fixture in the Capital’s cultural and intellectual landscape and a chance to examine important aspects of the Maori-Pakeha relationship in depth.
