Shared Fisheries Workshop – 9 February 2007

The James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor
147 The Terrace
Wellington

Kia ora and welcome to the summary of presentations from the Iwi workshop on the fisheries management reform package referred to as the “Shared Fisheries” discussion document.

This workshop was organised by Te Ohu Kaimoana in response to the serious threat that this reform package poses towards the integrity of the 1992 Fisheries Settlement Assets.

The aim of the workshop was to help develop a comprehensive response to the Shared Fisheries discussion document released by the Ministry of Fisheries in November 2006. The final date for this response in the form of a submission is on February 28, 2007. We continue to welcome your response to our draft analysis of this consultation document up until the closing date.
