Directors chosen for Te Ohu board

Te Kawai Taumata, the committee delegated to choose new directors for Te Ohu Kaimoana, met in mid September and appointed the chairman of Te Runanga a Iwi o Ngapuhi, Sonny Tau, and Opotoki-based chartered accountant Fred Cookson (Te Arawa- Ngati Uenukukopako, Ngati Kahungunu) to the board.

Fred, who was appointed to take Rob McLeod's seat on the board, will take up the position immediately, while Sonny will join the board when Shane Jones steps down at the end of the month. Te Tai Pari will profile our new directors in the next edition in December.
