Dayle Fenton (Ngati Awa; Whakatohea) has been appointed project manager with the Te Putea Whakatupu Trust.
Dayle is responsible for managing the leadership programme and reports directly to the board. She is focussing on three key areas of Te Putea Whakatupu Trust's work programme – Rangatahi Leadership Programme, the emerging and current leaders programme and the Trust' various research strands.
The Rangatahi Leadership Programme is for rangatahi who by 2027 could well be the future leaders of Maoridom. The emerging and existing leadership development programme assists our current, and next, leaders enhance and prepare for leadership roles within Maori organisations in the next 10 years. Dayle also manages the research that will be obtained from the three programmes and which will set the direction for the Trust in leadership development.
Dayle holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and is currently completing an MBA. She has extensive previous experience in natural resource management and Maori economic development and has worked with Ngati Awa Group Holdings Limited, Tuwharetoa Maori Trust Board and Genesis Energy. Dayle is also involved with a number of land trusts in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
