He Kororia ki te Atua
He maungarongo ki runga i te whenua
He whakaaro pai ki nga tangata katoa
Nga whakaaro ki a ratou kua wheturangitia, me ou ratou whanau i noho ai i raro i te kapua pouri. Nga manaakitanga o te Atua ki runga i a tatou katoa.
This month's newsletter will be the final for 2005. It contains a number of interesting articles including allocation information and a discussion of the Forest and Bird Society's Best Fish Guide, which was released in November and came in for some criticism by the fishing industry. We also include a short article about the work of our He Ture Pumau scholarship recipient, Valmaine Toki.
It's been a busy year for Te Ohu Kaimoana and there is little doubt that 2006 will offer no respite. We look forwarding to catching up with friends and family over Christmas and New Year, resting, eating, drinking, and relaxing before getting back into the office early in 2006.
Thanks to all iwi who have given us much help over the year. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
The directors, management and staff at Te Ohu Kaimoana wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe, happy and prosperous 2006.
Kia ora,
Peter Douglas
Chief Executive
