The annual Waitangi Rua Rau Tau Lecture focuses on preparation for the bi-centenary celebration of the Treaty of Waitangi in 2040. Each year, an eminent speaker delivers a public lecture on a topic related to this goal. The fourth lecture was given by Sir Howard Morrison Kt.Bach, OBE in the Grand Hall at Parliament on 29 January 2006.
