John Tamihere In 1991 John Tamihere became the chief executive of the Waipareira Trust, which provides health and education services to Māori in the Auckland region. He then became a Cabinet Minister for the Labour Party. After politics John returned as chief executive of the Waipareira Trust as well as hosting a talkback show on Radio Live. John also served as chairman of the New Zealand Maori Rugby League Board and worked for Maori Land Court and the Department of Maori Affairs. |
