Kahureremoa Aki is a contractor with Te Wai Māori Trust assisting in the tuna work programme.
Prior to joining Te Wai Māori, Kahureremoa worked as a project manager at Ngā Tāngata Tiaki o Whanganui Trust (the post settlement governance entity responsible for the implementation of the Te Awa Tupua Settlement). Kahureremoa was responsible for leading several work streams including the implementation of the key elements of Ruruku Whakatupua, central and local government relationships and resource consent applications. Kahureremoa also worked at Community Law Wellington and Hutt Valley practising as a solicitor in the Kaupapa Māori team, specialising in Māori land law, tenancy law, wills and estates, power of attorney and social welfare law.
Kahureremoa has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Waikato University and is based in Whanganui.
