We are proud to congratulate Tai Pari/policy analyst Tamar Wells on her win in this year’s Seafood NZ’s Seafood Star Awards. A winner in the Young Achiever Category, Tamar was recognised for her strong advocacy for iwi interests, particularly in relation to the Māui and Hector’s dolphin Threat Management Plan, East Coast tarakihi rebuild plan and mahi as part of the Seabird Advisory Group.
Anyone who has talked or worked with Tamar will know that she is passionate, hardworking and an asset to Te Ohu Kaimoana’s policy team. She is deserving of this acknowledgement and we are very proud and grateful to her for her hard work.
Seafood New Zealand Chief Executive Dr Jeremy Helson said the quality of this years’ Seafood Stars Awards winners was exceptional. The Seafood Stars Awards are now in their fifth year and are usually presented at the Seafood New Zealand Conference.
