Te Aomihia Walker, Tai Pari Policy Analyst

Te Aomihia is a Tai Pari (Policy Analyst) at Te Ohu Kaimoana. She is passionate about supporting the aspirations of whānau, hapū and iwi to achieve their collective vision of political, social, cultural, environmental and economic self-determination. She joined Te Ohu Kaimoana in July 2019 and will be working on fisheries allocation, customary fishing, fisheries management and policy.
Prior to joining Te Ohu Kaimoana, Te Aomihia worked as a statistical analyst at StatsNZ. She worked across various teams and has extensive experience in working with a variety of data users and technicians across multiple sectors, both nationally and internationally.
Te Aomihia holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Marine Biology and Statistics (Victoria University of Wellington), and a Diploma in Te Pinakitanga o te Reo Kairangi (Te Wananga o Aotearoa).
